How does the DVA/DVA+ end-user onboarding journey work?

Modified on Fri, 13 Mar at 11:44 AM

The onboarding process for end-users generally follows the steps below:

Step 1: Create a Customer Profile

The onboarding process begins with creating a Customer Profile (CP) by submitting the user’s basic information through the API.

Step 2: Verification

We conduct the required identity or business verification checks based on the onboarding model (DVA or DVA+).

  • Identity verification for individuals

  • Business verification for corporate users

  • Compliance screening checks

During onboarding, a user’s profile will move through several verification statuses depending on the review outcome.

  • Pending
The user’s information and documents have been submitted and are currently under review.
  • Request for Information (RFI)
Additional information or documents are required to continue the verification process. If an RFI is raised, we will forward the request via API or inform you via email.
Please note that RFIs may include a response deadline. If the requested information is not provided within the given timeframe, the verification request may be rejected.
  • Verified
The user’s identity or business verification has been successfully completed. The user can proceed with the next steps, such as creating a Virtual Account and performing transactions.

  • Rejected
The verification was not successful and we cannot proceed further. This may occur if the submitted documents do not meet the required criteria or if the user does not respond to an RFI within the given timeframe. In this case, the user will need to resubmit the required information or documents to continue the verification process.

Step 3: Virtual Account Activation

Once verification is successful, a Virtual Account (VA) will be generated for the user. After the VA is activated, the user will be able to use the account to receive deposits and perform transactions.
